123 Yoga Tree - Yoga for Children and Families

123 Yoga Tree introduces a unique mix of dance, acrobatics, yoga poses and relaxation into the lives of children and their families.
Yoga can be practiced by everyone, big or small, without fear of "failure" in an environment free from judgement or competition. This is especially beneficial for children; letting them embrace their natural creativity, boundless energy, fearless enthusiasm and desire to learn more about themselves and the world through play and having fun!!
Children's Yoga has been shown to increase coordination, strength and flexibility as well as confidence, self esteem and concentration.
Each class is semi structured being sure to leave lots of room for the group to tailor their own adventures to their own interests and ideas. Children enjoy practicing the poses (especially ones they invent themselves!), going on crazy adventures, playing games, leading the group, working together to create something, sharing knowledge and experiences and finally (it's hard to imagine after all that craziness) settling down to relax! Relaxation encourages children to become aware of their own bodies, recognise their breath and learning to calm both body and mind - an important life skill!
Family Yoga is an awesome way to spend quality time together and ensure a mega workout at the same time.
All members of the family are welcome. Sessions are light hearted, fun and focus on the importance of mutual respect and trust, working together as a family and community and having a blast. Many of the moves will be repeated at home for sure!
