Victoria House

Victoria House is a 4 star Silver Award B&B in the centre of Northallerton. It was built in 1840 and an additional extension in 1901. The house was bought in 2006 and has been substantially renovated to create a comfortable family home now also used as a B&B. I am proud to say that in the first three years the house was awarded 4 stars by Quality in Tourism and the fourth and fifth years four stars with a silver award, which is the highest standard for a property of this type.

Victoria House is decorated to a high standard. Our aim for guests is to have a relaxing stay, enjoy the comfort of the rooms and the quirkiness of the house, whatever the purpose of your visit.

Victoria House was built in 1840 and then in 1901 an additional extension was put on. The houses in South Parade were built for the wealthy (Lawyers and Shop Owners etc), the majority of the houses on the this side of the parade have/had cellars some of which are used as flats. The houses were built at the same time as the railway which increase local business and trade. The establishment of Northallerton as the County town of North Yorkshire (North Riding) also increased prosperity which led to a further extension to the town and the surrounding area.

Today, it is still the County town of North Yorkshire and continues to hold it's markets twice a week Wednesdays and Saturdays as well as being a thriving commuter town with easy access to major road links.

South Parade has maintained it's fine qualities throughout the years and remains a prime residential location.

We are 30 yds from County records, 2 minute walk to County Hall and central to Northallerton town.
