Valley Hill Nursery, Pre-School and After School Club

Our aim at Valley Hill is to nurture the whole child, heart, body, mind and spirt and we work as closely as we can with our families in order for this to be successful. We know that choosing the right nursery or pre-school to leave the most precious part of your life in is one of the most difficult and important decisions that you will have to make as a parent. Our aim is to work with our families to make this decision the right one for you and your child.

We start our transition journey with a home visit where we come for a play date with you and your child. We use this time to get to know your child in their home environment. We then start with our settling programme which is shaped around each child and their needs, families will be invited along to the nursery for play dates. Parent's will then slowly decrease the time that they spend in the class room with their child, popping out for a coffee etc. Our transition journey ends with a happy settled child and our success is due to our team work with you, our families. Working together throughout your child's time at Valley Hill, we can plan every new step for your child to be as seamless as possible, from starting our nursery or pre-school, potty training, using a cup to starting primary school.

We offer a safe, stimulating, rich environment in which we encourage our children to become independent learners. We believe that children are driven by their interests to understand and know more.

We have an experienced, committed team of staff who will always put the welfare of your children first. Our key person system provides a developing relationship between your child, a chosen member of our team and your family.

We offer an enriched individualised curriculum based on your child’s specific need’s whilst meeting the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We observe your child daily making note of learning taking place and we use this knowledge to develop activities which will challenge and extend your child’s knowledge and understanding.

We create a Learning Journal for each child in which we build up a bank of observations, photos, and samples of work, quotes, and your observations. This provides a chronological story of your child’s time at Valley Hill and belongs to your child.

We are located in the Football Academy on Langston Road, Loughton, IG10 3TQ (opposite the Bank of England) just off the M11 and a short drive from the M25. We are a 10 min’ walk from Debden Underground Station (on the Central Line) and we have ample parking available for parents who need to park up and commute to work.

We open from 7.30am until 6.30pm, 50 weeks of the year closing on National Bank Holidays and for two weeks over the Christmas Holiday (please see Essex County Council term dates). We also offer a variety of options for children to stay for nursery half a day, or full day, morning or full day pre-school, including or excluding lunch so please give us a call for details.

We offer facilities for babies from 9 months to 4.5 years, including our pre-school. We also have Breakfast, After School and Holiday Club facilities so even after our children make their transition to primary school we are still there to support your family with your childcare needs.
