About Trentham Gardens
Set in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, regeneration of this historic garden started in 2004 with the re-design of the Italian Garden planting by Tom-Stuart Smith. The layout of the Italian Garden is, as was designed by Charles Barry in the 1830`s with additional paths and beds.
Continuation of the awaking of the Garden continued with the commissioning of Piet Ouldof to design a naturalistic perennial scheme on the east side of the garden which resulted in the creation of "The Rivers of Grass" and "Floral Labyrinth". Recent developments are the UK`s first Barfuss Walk and a Maze.
Last Year a new Show Garden area was developed with the introduction of awarding winning show gardens from RHS Chelsea, Tatton Park and Gardeners World Live.
