The Queens Arms Cheadle

Refurbished at some expense in late 2007 from a rather tired old pub to a modern one with another room, catering facilities, and more up-to-date features. An impressive L-shaped, slate-topped bar greets you when you enter with two small rooms either side of the street entrance. To the side is a much larger room capable of accommodating a good number of drinkers and diners, whilst there is a lounge-cum-function room to the rear of that to give extra space. This was largely to good effect and today it is smart, attractive and welcoming. This is down to the hard work of tenant Dennis Davies who is working hard to restore the pub’s fortunes. Dennis is an experienced and safe pair of hands. He’s run numerous pubs in the town over the past 20 years including The Railway, Heaton Norris; The Gardeners Arms (War Office), Edgeley; The Bow Garrett, Edgeley; the Crown, Great Moor; the Grapes, Heaton Norris, and now the Queens. He first came to the pub four years ago as a stand-in while Robinsons found a new tenant so he knew and liked the pub, and was aware of its potential, when the tenancy became available again he jumped at the chance to take it on. The kitchen is now being put to good use with food now served every day and Dennis has achieved a 5 Star food hygiene rating, so you can be sure your food is prepared in a clean and tidy kitchen. The menu comprises of Traditional Freshly Cooked Pub Food. To keep you entertained there’s live music (of the open mic or karaoke kind) on Fridays and Saturdays hosted by James, Andy and Paul. For those that enjoy Pub Games there is also a Pool Table and Dart Board. At the rear of the pub there is a Large beer garden and children's play area so there is something for everyone on offer in the Queens.
