After reading an article about a chap who brewed 40 pints of beer with hops he had picked from the wild and some malt extract, I had to give brewing a go.
The article pointed out that it was very cheap and rewarding to brew your own. Not being able to find wild hops in February I had to buy my own hops so popped to my local homebrew shop and came away with the hops, malt extract and yeast. Having spent over £30.00, I was a little surprised at just how much those three items had cost me, however I brewed the beer which was a lot of fun and came out surprisingly well.
I have been hooked ever since, but wanted to provide a cost effective way of sourcing and buying the ingredients, hence The Malt Miller was formed.
