The Dance Studios

Company History
Founded in 1997 by current owners Jill Edwards and Maxine Loydall, The Dance Studios teach both children's and adults classes.

In 1997 TDS opened it's first class in West Bridgford.
In 1997 TDS moved to new dance studios on Carrington Street Nottingham.
In 2003 TDS opened a second dancing school in Oakham, Rutland.
In 2015 TDS moved to their new HQ in Hockley, Nottingham. Our new studios have 4 great dance studios, 2 changing rooms, reception and its very own Cafe.

With full time teachers and specialist part time teachers we teach the ISTD approved class syllabus, (The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing).

We now have over 34 children's dance classes plus an additional 10 adult dance classes each week. Children classes are available in a range of grades and age groups for Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Limbering. Our adult Ballet and Tap classes cover a wide range of levels from Beginners to Advanced.

Our students have the opportunity to learn to dance in a wide variety of classes (incl Tap, Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Limbering), attend exclusive workshops hosted at The Dance Studios by industry professionals, perform in our annual show, take dance exams, compete in regional competitions and audition for local, national and international projects.
