Portreath is a small, family friendly, surfing resort with a pretty harbour occupied by local fishing boats. It is a popular with surfers and bodyboarders alike who congregate to surf the harbour wall or ‘The Vortex’ as it is known locally. It also has excellent coastal walks with stunning views.

It is next to these sandy shores of Portreath and with a view of Gull’s Rock, that The Atlantic Bar is situated. You may be returning from a picturesque coastal walk or coming back from a day out on the beach soaking up the sun or catching some waves, either way, our staff offer customers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a long cool drink, a cappuccino or a freshly prepared meal using locally sourced ingredients. We also have The Atlantic Take Away which offers homemade beer battered fish and chips, including other favourite take away food so you can enjoy our food on the beach too! In its light, spacious contemporary interior, we also exhibit local artists work for people to enjoy and purchase. Not only does the The Atlantic Bar offer a relaxed atmosphere in the daytime, it also provides excellent DJ evenings and live music including excellent evening meals during high season.
