SWADS

The New View Art Room and the Sound Recovery Studios offers therapeutic creative arts activities for anyone in need of support. Established in 2003 by a recovering addict who recognised their need for a supportive, creative environment for people who feel their isolation in the community may threaten their long term recovery.

Today the project support people throughout their recovery from addiction, mental health problems, self harm, criminal justice issues, refugees and asylum seekers and anyone within the community feeling isolated and in need of a helping hand.

Our Aim is support individuals in their recovery, increase confidence and self esteem, develop creativity and improve social skills. Our groups have a relaxed and non-judgemental atmosphere offering a wide range of methods to ensure everyone is supported individually and encouraged within the group.

If you are over the age of 18 you can be referred to us through organisations such as SOLAR and STARS or by self referral.
