Solihull Host Families

The LEC is a language organisation for French students travelling abroad to improve their English.
The organisation is based in Paris and has been running for more than 40 years.
Students are between 11 and 16 year old. They are accompanied by a French teacher and assistant and get English lessons every morning at the centre in Vulcan rd. Activities are organised for the afternoons, both cultural and sportive.
Students are accommodated by local people in order to get to know more of the culture. Families are asked to provide breakfast, a packed lunch and evening meal. Students stay with the family on Sunday, and like to feel part of the family. Some English students end up going to France as an exchange! Families are remunerated around £200 per student.
