SHINE Academy of Performing Arts

Principal and Managing Director Miss Maria Marra established Shining Bright Like A Star in 2011 with a modern vision on singing, acting and dancing. Realising the vast need in the community for affordable, professional and small classes.

Since the launch in 2011, SBLAS have seen tremendous success. The name Shining Bright Like A Star originated for a younger audience of children aged 3-8, as this was the initial vision.
With the quick growth of the school the name was soon abbreviated to SBLAS so that it was shorter and punchier as student's ages and classes seemed to grow. Now in 2017 with the utter success and massive growth of the school, SBLAS has taken the one element in it's name that had a special meaning to it. SHINE. With the maturity of the school, students and results SBLAS is now moving forward to SHINE Academy of Performing Arts.

We believe strongly in that every child/adult is different and we work with the pupils to discover what suites their abilities.
