The original Rotec philosophy and concept was born from off-road motocross technology. Rotec’s original Moto-link concept grew quickly to become a design to be reckoned with. The Rotec brand was solid but far from secure. So in 2001, Rotec Cycles was re-born and with new ownership, began growing into the brand it is today. Rotec Cycles USA has re-invented itself to reflect a business model that has been adapting to an ever changing and expanding market.

In 2004 Rotec adapted the Lawwill Rear Suspension as our premier DH platform using our existing concentric BB pivot design; Rotec Cycles USA introduced the RL series of downhill frames utilizing the Lawwill four bar link rear suspension. The RL design has been the mainstay of our product line and since then has grown and changed from what was the original Lawwill concept to the unparalleled Lawwill inspired design it is today.
