Powells is an established chartered surveying practice specialising in the sale, letting, acquisition, management and valuation of rural property and land. The practice provides a first class exemplary estate agency service with extensive professional services and property management sectors. Powells also specialise in the development sector with significant experience of negotiating planning applications and promotion/option agreements.

Powells are based in the attractive Welsh border town of Monmouth, strategically located on the A40, between the M4, M50 & M5 which allows excellent accessibility for serving clients across Wales and the West Midlands, as well many nationally located clients.

The firm is headed by Managing Director David Powell who is a well-established name in the rural property sector. David formerly worked for a national firm of Rural Chartered Surveyors prior to establishing Powells in 2011.

David Powell was born and raised in Monmouthshire and is a former graduate of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. David has been a qualified Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuer’s (CAAV) since 2008.

David sits on the Welsh Committee and National Young Valuers’ Committee for the Association of Agricultural Valuers, Country Landowners Association (CLA Cymru) and the Monmouthshire Advisory Committee for the Royal Welsh Show.

The Powells team includes fellow Director Sally Powell and Practice Administrator Jo Sims who support the professional team of Julie Jenkins (Property Management & BPS), Stuart Leaver (Planning & Development) and Alexander Mitchell (Property Sales).
