The POW Conditioning system is a functional programme of fitness which has been developed to support taking fitness to that next level regardless of your current capability. We can help to develop specific programmes for people with specific targets or simply welcome you along to the group sessions where you can get involved, working at your own pace and capability whilst still seriously reaping the rewards!
The POW Circuits
A typical POW Circuit (if there was ever such a thing) will see you working to the clock and having to tackle some seriously challenging, functional station mainly with an urban feel. You could be using equipment such as Battle Ropes, Tyres, Sledgehammers, Hurdles, Kettle bells, Agility Ladders, Olympic Bars, Tri Grip Weights and Bungee cords..... as well as having to overcome some tough stations where there will be nothing but you and your own bodyweight.
The Clock
We like to mix the circuit timings up and do utilise HIIT training rather than common circuits you may have been to in the past where prolonged 'work' and long 'rest' periods are typical. With our sessions you may have to work for 20, 30 or 40 seconds at really high intensity and rest for 10 seconds and then get straight back on it...... of course you go at your pace with a view to being able to increase your pace as you get fitter!
The Tests
Some weeks we will run short fitness tests to again support you in recognising your current capability and set your own personal targets for future tests.
The Social Aspect
The circuits are also a great way to meet new friends, have a great laugh and get involved with an absolutely awesome bunch of people. We do not allow for any kind of misbehaviour and as you will see when you come along, the sessions are great fun!
