Playtime Juniors Childminding

We are a husband and wife childminding team based in Goldsworth Park. We have two children of our own and enjoyed looking after them so much that we made the decision to quit our over pressured banking jobs in the city to become full time childminders together. We are both fully registered with Ofsted and were awarded Outstanding at our last inspection. We are members of the Surrey Childminding Network run by Surrey County Council who oversee our work and our setting on a regular basis which gives parents the peace of mind that we are maintaining our Outstanding level of care. Jenny has recently gained her Higher National Diploma in Childcare and is undertaking training to become a Level 3 qualified Forest School practitioner. We both hold up to date Paediatric first aid certificates and Safeguarding training.

Our home has a lovely, purpose built playroom full of toys and activities that cater for all our children, from babies right through to after schoolers. There is a safe, enclosed garden with play house, play area and the always popular digging patch! The play area has artificial safety grass which is excellent for them to run around on and ride their trikes and scooters. We also have our own bouncy castle which we get out regularly during the summer and is always a big hit with the children. The children take an active part in the garden and grow their own flowers, plants and vegetables throughout the year.

In addition to the playroom we also have a comfortable and spacious sitting room where the children can have some quiet time on our big corner sofa. We often snuggle on the sofa for story time and to sing nursery rhymes together. The floor provides a good dance floor for the older ones when we have song time! There are also two bedrooms upstairs where we have cots for the children to sleep in. This allows them to sleep in peace, quiet and comfort.

We make regular visits to local activities such as Surestart Centres, soft play, local parks and playgrounds as well as travelling further afield to places like Alice Holt, Wisley Gardens, the Lookout in Bracknell, Newlands Corner and the seaside! We love taking the children to the local woodlands where they have fun going on 'adventures' and being explorers. When we are at home we offer lots of arts and craft activities, cooking & baking, singing & music and storytime.

Our aim and purpose is to give your child the best possible level of care. We will provide them with a warm and caring environment which will enable them to grow and develop to their full potential.
