Pigneys Wood is approximately 1½ miles NNE of North Walsham and accessible from our Hall Lane car park, and from Bacton road (B1150) via the banks of the North Walsham and Dilham Canal, by two footbridges. Access may also be gained via the disused railway embankment which is part of Paston Way and the Butterfly Walk. It lies within the parish of Knapton, a rural village, situated at the northern end of Hall Lane. It is well signed from Knapton (Hall Lane) and from North Walsham (at the Bacton Road intersection and at both ends of Crow Road)The car park is easily accessable from Hall Lane and is adequate for all normal use.
Car parking is free.
Pigneys Wood is owned by North Norfolk Community Woodland Trust and registered as a Company in England No 2641361 and as a charity, No 1011541. It is a non-profit making company limited by guarantee. It is managed by a board of Trustee/Directors supported by volunteers drawn from the local community. The address of the registered office of the Company is as under:

The board meet to conduct trust business on a regular basis, bi-monthly, usually on the last Thursday of the month. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend. For 2014, meetings are scheduled to take place on the following dates:

January 30th - March 27th – May 29th* – July 31st – September 25th and, November 27th.

The Annual General Meeting usually takes place on the same date as the final board meeting of the year - for 2014, November 27th - unless otherwise advised. Members of the public and the press are invited to attend and will be permitted to address the board at the Chair's discretion.

Notices calling the Annual General Meeting are prominently displayed in Pigneys Wood and elswhere in accordance with Company Law. The agenda will appear here in due course.

All meetings are held in the Methodist Church Rooms in Knapton unless otherwise advised and start at 7pm. They usually last about 2 hours depending on the amount of business to be conducted. The Church Rooms are located at the junction between Pond Lane and The Street in the centre of the village. There is usually no difficulty parking in front of the church of St Peter & St Paul also in the centre of the village.
