Patna Cottage

Very comfortable traditional dales cottage in beautiful peaceful village with restaurant and bar. Patna was completely renovated and redecorated to a high standard in 2012. Keld is in Swaledale, arguably Yorkshire’s most picturesque Dale. Keld is where Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk intersects the Pennine Way and the last ‘new build’ was the Village Hall in 1926. Has lovely views and is ideally placed for walking, cycling (on and off-road), exploring the villages and market towns of Swaledale, Wensleydale and Arkengarthdale or relaxing in front of the coal and log burning stove in the cosy living room. There are 2 bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, living room, flat screen TV with Freeview satellite, DVD/blue ray. There is Wi-Fi and a selection of games and books. There is a hotel, Keld Lodge, with restaurant and public bar serving delicious home cooked food and real ales. There is also a small farm shop and cafe open Easter to Autumn with wooden tables in farm gardens.

Booking is by e mail correspondence – aprobertshaw@icloud.com. Bookings will be considered confirmed upon receipt of 50% of the rental in the owners bank account.The balance due to be paid 6 weeks before arrival. You are welcome to call and speak to the owners on 07754 535 830. In order to maintain the standards of the cottage for other visitors we do not allow pets or smoking.

Prices:
Standard Rate is £360 for 7 nights.

During the school holidays the rate increases to £390 for 7 nights.

Short breaks of 4 nights may be available for 70% of the usual rental price.

The cottage received its unusual name from a former owner who retired to Keld after working as a missionary in Patna, India.
