Pallet-Track Ltd

Pallet-Track Ltd is a multi award-winning member shareholder palletised freight distribution network with its roots firmly in the heart of the Black Country. Pallet-Track Ltd started its operation in Wednesbury and is now in a state of the art building in Wolverhampton.

There was a two-year set-up process working out of a small office situated in The Brook Street Business Centre, Tipton. Pallet-Track Ltd researched more than 900 transport and distribution companies, short-listing 100 applicants which resulted in the inaugural membership of 45-shareholder members and commenced trading on the 30th January 2004.

A high emphasis was placed on the relationship between the central company (Pallet-Track Ltd) and the network member. A shareholder member approach was adopted rather than a franchise; this would create a better more transparent working relationship as the members would have a commercial investment in the business, 75% of Pallet-Track Ltd is privately owned with 25% owned by its network members. The membership has now grown to 73 - shareholding members. The share value has increased from £1 to £40 and pays significant dividends to its shareholders experiencing over 1000% growth in only 9 years of trading 5 of which has been during the recent recession.

The Pallet-Track directors launched the company with just 8 staff and were joined by the transport press to witness what was to be a record night for freight volume that has not been broken.
From this moment, enormous growth has been experienced increasing our fleet of forklift trucks from 5 to 46 corporately branded units that differ greatly from other competitors as they carry specialised features, which improves the efficiency of the truck providing the operatives with comfortable, safe working vehicle. This investment has resulted in Pallet-Track Ltd having the lowest damage rate in the industry.

Many landmarks have been achieved and the network grew faster than any of its competitors. A major investment has resulted in a move from the original operating site in Wednesbury to the 267,000 sq. ft Titan Distribution Centre in Wolverhampton.

Today Pallet-Track Ltd has a combined group turnover of 60 million pounds with a staggering 9 million pallet deliveries achieved and an astounding zero lost pallet record which is unequalled in the freight industry.
