Override Skatepark

The project was initially started back in march 2013 by Cycle Route Ltd {A Not For Profit Company} Who now runs Conway Cycles based on Salem Street in South Shields, with the vision of expanding extreme sports within the area of south Tyneside and surrounding areas.
Override is a 10,000sqft indoor skate park facility catering for urban and extreme sports which include, BMX, skateboard, inline and scooter riders of all ages.


Override skate park features ramps suitable for all ages and levels from beginners to the more experienced
The park is open 7 days a week 10am until 8pm weekdays 9am until 8pm Saturdays and 10am until 7pm Sundays, and prices will range from £3.80 per one hour session.

Our aim is to provide young and older people a facility to practice and improve their skills in a safe environment rain or shine and to work with beginners to show them how to use the skate park safely and correctly. We also hold events such as the Shortys memorial comp every year in the summer. Various competitions are ran through out the year encouraging young people and children to take part.
