Management of emotions, having tools and strategies to overcome social and emotional difficulties, understanding the importance of mindsets, mindfulness and relaxation are the fundamental elements of nurture my potential.
Nurture My Potential takes a unique approach to child development by providing support & development to the key people involved in a child’s learning journey.
If schools are to provide the best learning environment where children can thrive then school leaders and teachers need to be fulfilled in their work.
Parents and carers working together with school learning programmes will have a far greater impact on a child’s development.

A Mindful Journey to the Growth Mind set.- Whole School Programme

This programme incorporates the work of Carol Dweck’s Growth Mind set with Mindfulness to produce an inspiring series of lessons to develop children’s knowledge about how to master their mind to get the very best results.
The aim of this programme is however not just to increase knowledge of the brain’s functions but to see changes in attitudes, motivation and resulting behaviour. The series of lessons are initially taught as stand-alone lessons. The strategies learnt then become daily core practice which is integrated into everyday lessons enabling children to become resilient, focused, mindful learners. This daily core practice capitalises on the brains neuroplasticity strengthening neurons through encouraging new mindful learning habits. As we now know, neuroplasticity allows us to make profound changes in the way our bodies and minds function at any age, but especially during development so helping children to learn to calm their bodies and minds through the use of developmentally appropriate mindful awareness practices is I believe essential to their learning.

Parent Workshops are now available so that the learning of Growth Mind Set at school can be further enhaced through Growth Mind Set parenting at home.

The Power of ME Programme - A selection of standalone workshops that can be selected by schools to form a Well being Programme or workshops that parents can request for their children.

Calm ME
Understand anger and learn different strategies of how to manage it.

Cool ME
A series of workshops for children who are being challenged by anxiety. These sessions teach children how to recognise their symptoms of anxiety and learn different ways to manage and reduce their own anxiety.

ME and MY Amazing Brain

Children understand how the brain functions and how to use it mindfully to optimise learning capacity.They explore how to manage emotions with greater self control and self regulation.

Optimistic ME: Children explore optimism and hopeful thinking. They learn the four basic skills of optimism. They look at the brain research of optimism and understand the benefits of practising the habit of optimism.

Confident ME: Children identify what confidence is and learn the skill of assertive communication. They identify helpful thought patterns which encourage confidence. They develop their own confidence anchors to boost their confidence in situations which they find difficult.

Grateful ME: Children look at what it means to have gratitude. They discover the brain activity that occurs when acts of gratitude are performed. They learn the positive effects that gratitude has on their well-being.

Thoughtful, Emotional ME: Children look at the patterns of their thoughts. They learn that all feelings are triggered by thoughts and that they can control their thoughts. They examine different thinking ‘traps’ which can distort their thinking. Children learn strategies to challenge their thinking which will allow them to change their feelings and behaviour.

Mindful ME: Children learn the importance of being present, paying attention to the here and now with curiosity, compassion and without judging. Using Tolstoy’s book the Three Questions children learn the answer to life’s important questions. Who is the most important one? When is the most important time? What is most important?

Solution Maker ME: Children explore a number of problems and identify strategies to solve them. They think about problems that they are experiencing and identify the skills that they need to solve them.

Friendly ME: Children explore friendships, identifying their importance and the qualities needed for good friendship. They learn how to make friends and what is required to nurture that friendship. They gain a thorough understanding of the importance of empathy and how they can display empathy to their friends.




Relax Kids
A unique method of introducing children to relaxation using movement ,games, stretching,massage,mindful breathing,affirmations and visualisations to help with concentration,listening skills,self esteem,mental & physical health.

Little Stars 3-5 years.
Little Stars classes are for children under 5. The fun sessions cover the seven steps and are kept simple and easy to follow with lots of story telling and adventures. Young children will learn to recognise and understand their emotions, enabling them to communicate how they feel from an early age, enhacing their emotional development.

Magical Adventures. 6-8 years
These classes take children on a fun and magical journey leading them through high energy games and activities to low energy calm and relaxation. Children learn useful skills to manage stress and anxiety. They also help promoting self esteem and self regulation
Children explore different themes and learn the importance of kindness,friendship, gratitude etc.

Chill Skills 9-14 years
The Chill Skills help young people learn to relax and de-stress with a variety of relaxation and mindfulness exercises. Each session includes relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, visualisation and discussions on topics such as positive thinking,developing resilience, managing stress etc.
