Message in a Bottle Mersea, beach hut to hire

Message in a Bottle is a front row hut on the beach of West Mersea. Its contemporary, costal inspired interior is fully equipped for a day lounging on the coast come rain or shine. Opening up directly on to decking and the beach you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the sea.

The hut is conveniently located near to the Two Sugars Cafe, Playground, Car park (£3 per day), Toilets and Water supply. This is ideal for families with young children or elderly less mobile relatives. However as with all front row huts there are steps down to a sandy beach.

The hut is available to hire for £55 per day from 10am - 8pm (when car park is locked) for a maximum of 8 people including babies and children. This is to ensure guests do not encroach on neighbouring huts and the available facilities within the hut.

The hut is equipped with everything you would need for a day at the beach including:

- Folding cafe chairs x2

- Blankets x2

- Wind breaks x2
- Selection of board games
- Beach toys
- Cutlery, crockery & glassware
- Children's plastic cups, plates & bowls
- Gas hob
- Kettle
- Tea, Coffee & Sugar

We love our hut so we politely ask all guests on departure to sweep it out, wash, dry and tidy away all cutlery, crockery and glassware as well as taking all rubbish including food and dispose of it responsibly. There are numerous bins in close proximity and on route to the car park to do so. A broom, dust pan and brush and cleaning products are provided to enable you to leave the hut in the condition you found it.

We appreciate accidents do happen so we ask you to notify us of any damage caused during your stay so we can rectify it ASAP. Please note some higher value items within the hut may be charged for if damaged.

Bookings can be made via Facebook. Payment in full will be required to secure your booking via our online booking service or bank transfer. We do not accept cash, cheque, Paypal or any other forms of payment. Your booking will be confirmed once the payment has cleared. Payment confirms acceptance of our terms and conditions.

Cancellations
In the event that you have to cancel your booking, the refund provided will depend upon the notice period given. A £20 administration fee will be deducted from each booking cancelled.
More than 2 weeks notice = Full refund (less administration fee)
Less than 2 weeks notice = No refund
However we will do our best to reallocate your booking enabling us to refund part or all of your fee depending upon the hire rate achieved.

PLEASE NOTE

The hut is strictly for non smokers both inside and outside of the hut on the decked area. Please abide by this for the courtesy of neighbouring huts, other guests and our wishes.

There is no running water or electricity in the hut. However water is provided nearby between the Two Sugars Cafe and the Playground via a tap.

Dogs are permitted but only upon request and may be subject to a surcharge for additional cleaning or damages.

We ask all guests to let us know of any issues with the hut on arrival, if we are not notified on arrival we will presume the damage has been caused during your stay.
