Lozells Central Mosque

Lozells Central Mosque has been serving the local community for over 30 years, providing quality Islamic education. We have now relocated to a state-of-the-art, purpose-built building situated in the heart of the local community on Lozells Road with the capacity to cater for 3000 people.

The site then known as 213-215 Lozells Road was bought in 1984 by the management committee with the intention of constructing the first purpose-built mosque in Lozells. The site was further extended when the late Ch. Allahdad donated 217 Lozells Road. Development of the mosque began in May 1999, reaching completion in 2010.

The construction of the mosque cost over 2.5 million pounds which has been donated by the local community in and around Lozells. We are continuing to develop the mosque to meet the needs of the local community.

The mosque has 400 students taught by a dedicated team of teachers, consisting of both male and female teachers, teaching two sessions per evening.

The mosque has a five year vision in which time we hope to establish an Islamic Institute teaching from the basis of both the Islamic sciences and the national curriculum.
