Little Lillies Childminding

My name is Rachael Richardson and I would like to welcome you to Little Lillies Childminding.

I live with my husband Mike and my 4 children, Amelia, Freya, Theo and Ellie.

We moved from Gainsborough to Newark in December 2014, I am originally from Nottingham but moved to Newark in my teen years with my family.

I have been working with children for over 13 years and have experience with children from birth to 12 years old.

From a young age I have always known that I have wanted to work with children.

I started out when leaving school, studying for my NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education. During this time, I worked as a nursery nurse in private nursery settings.

After years of working with children, I then started a family of my own. I have also worked in care in the community, and customer related positions, but have always loved the child care profession.

After moving to the area, I decided to become a childminder as I loved it and wanted to return back to what I enjoyed the most…. Child care, one of THE most rewarding jobs!

I understand what an emotional roller-coaster it can be finding the right person to look after your little ones, having done so myself.

Having also come from a nursery teaching background, I have a great understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to teach your children and to help them to develop and grow into happy confident and independant individuals in a safe and caring environment.
