Le Nouveau

Le Nouveau Restaurant at New College Durham provides a realistic working environment for our hospitality and catering students. We offer a friendly service where our aspiring chefs use the finest and freshest ingredients, preparing and serving meals to customers in a professional and intimate environment.


The licensed restaurant, which is open to the public 5 days per week, provides a relaxed atmosphere in contemporary surroundings, with seating for 65 diners. Events are held throughout the week from morning coffee to Bistro lunch and fine dining evening meals every Thursday. We also pride ourselves on offering that little bit extra to ensure that your private function is successful.


We welcome enquiries from outside of the college, as well as from our own staff and students.
