More about Kelly Lees- Tattoo & Permanent Make Up Artist

What is Semi-Permanent Makeup/ Cosmetic Tattooing/ Micropigmentation?

Micropigmenation (semi permanent make up) is a process where hypoallergenic pigments are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin. The pigment contains natural iron oxide, glycerol, distilled water and alcohol. This will remain in the skin, breaking down and fading over time depending on the client's age, skin type and lifestyle. It is different from a regular 'tattoo' procedure.

How long will it last?

This can differ greatly from one client to another. There are lots of factors which effect the longevity of the colour including lifestyle, medication, age, activity, products used and the general health of the skin to name a few. We cannot guarantee how long the treatment will last as the pigment will fade over time when the skin regenerates. This is why it is recommended clients have their colour boosted every 18-24 months to keep the look complete and fresh.

Eyebrow Treatments:
Eyebrow shape is very important, they are the frame of the face. When eyebrows are designed correctly they can lift the eyes and give a more youthful appearance. Eyebrow tattooing can give fullness to the brows and lengthen, define and re-shape as required.

Eyeliner and Eyelash Enhancements:
Eye enhancements are used to add depth and definition. They are subtle, yet incredibly effective at drawing attention to the eye, achieving fantastic results every time. Eyeliner gives the client a full 'make up' effect, with no smudges, and 'get up and go' convenience. Eyelash Enhancement achieved by adding pigment to the lash-line, or root of the eyelashes to give a thicker looking lash-line.

Lip Treatments:
These great to subtly replace lost pigment especially to the outer border of the lips where it tends to fade as we age. Also great for those who love to wear lip colour but find 'rub off' an inconvenience! Defined lips are created by adding natural or full colour where needed, achieving instant fullness and definition with more permanence.
