More about Ironbridge Canoe & Kayak Hire

Ironbridge Leisure offer canoe, kayak and boat hire for river trips on the River Severn, along with all of the equipment and support you need to enjoy a fabulous day out (or more) canoeing, kayaking or fishing on the river.

Vic - the owner of Ironbridge Canoe and Kayak Hire, has been a dedicated canoeist for over 40 years and knows the River Severn well. From small beginnings, Ironbridge Canoe and Kayak Hire now offers different boats for hire including Canadian Canoes, Kayaks and a flat bed Fishing boat.

Vic has spent many years developing a range of itineraries for various river trips that cover from a 3 hour / 5 mile gentle introduction to canoeing, up to 7 day camping trips that cover approx 90 miles of the River Severn, all depending on how adventurous you feel, and how experienced you are.

How it works.
You decide on what type of river trip suits you - there's a wide range to select from including short, gentle introductory canoeing trips for beginners and families where it's nothing more than a gentle paddle; to more demanding itineraries including navigating the Jackfield Rapids at Ironbridge.

Once you've decided on your chosen itinerary, you and your canoe / kayak are transported to your up-stream start point. Vic operates a Minibus and 2 4Wheel Drive vehicles and trailers allowing him to transport up to 24 people + boats as required.

The highly trained and experienced operatives stay with you right up to the point you enter the boat on the water. You then make you way down stream back to Ironbridge.

If you choose to go down stream from Ironbridge, the process is reversed and you'll be picked up at your destination and returned to Ironbridge.

The Itineraries.
A wide variety of itineraries are available covering a 3 hour gentle paddle to a 7 day canoeing / camping trip along with Corporate Events. Below are a few examples:

In addition to their regular range of trips, Ironbridge Leisure can offer a trip designed especially for you. With up to 90 miles of the River Severn available, from Pool Quay (Welshpool) to Bewdley (Worcestershire), there's bound to be something perfect for you.

Please note: a 50% deposit is required on booking and if the river is deemed to be unsafe, your trip may have to be cancelled / postponed.

If you call and there's no-one available to take your call, please leave a message - you will get a call back as quickly as possible.
