We at Honey Gables have a mission to provide the finest honey in England to the kitchens of the world.
We are genuinely excited about producing what is one of the worlds oldest food sources and yet even in the 21st century we still are only just beginning to understand its benefits. Did you know that properly stored honey never goes off? Honey found in the pyramids has been eaten thousands of years later and found to be fine! In a secluded area of Pangbourne Berkshire we have set-up over 20 hives. After some testing we settled on Buckfast Bees as they are a joy to handle, have a ceaseless capacity for building and are prolific honey producers. Next year will be our first serious assault on the producing honey. 2013 was a very promising start and we are extremely excited about the honey we have produced so far. There will be a limited amount available due to the single location we have to hive our bees, but the area benefits from a great diversity of surrounding crops and woodlands.
