GWS Seafoods is a family run business based in Withernsea, a small East coastal town situated approximately 16miles from Kingstown upon Hull. We specialise in processing locally caught high quality brown crab and lobster.
Our business is backed and trusted by a number of Organisations including TYWT (The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust), MMO (Marine Management Organisation), EFF (European Fisheries Fund), and F.L.A.G (Holderness Coast Fisheries Local Action Group). This is mainly due to our Ethical goals and targets which are contributing to the sustainability of marine life. The main factor being the traceability scheme we have in place that enables all shellfish we process to be traceable right back to source and by providing key information about fisherman, and details of the boat from which that particular batch was caught including; Vessel name, type of vessel and location landed.
All Fishermen we buy from are local and the majority land their catches in Withernsea.
