Gough and Davy - Hull Ltd

Gough & Davy was established as a Piano retailer in 1860 and soon became a market leader in providing the latest musical instruments and music at the time.
The business flourished all through the Victorian era and on into the 20th. century. During the next hundred years the name Gough & Davy became synonymous with music lovers, not only in Hull but the whole country.

Now in the 21st. century the company has been relocated in brand new premises 'Under the City Hall' and is still owned and managed by Hull's own Alan Kilvington.
Alan joined Gough and Davy in July of 1995 as a keyboard salesman. He then managed that department before a promotion to store manager.
Alan is a well known musician performing all over the UK and America. In recent years he has specialised in the music of Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Ray Charles. In a recent Times newspaper review his band The Aces headed the 'Top Five Gigs' review described as "dedicated rockers par excellence"In 2013 he recorded an album with Jerry Lee Lewis band at Sun Studio in Memphis with Hull legend Johnny Pat.He forms part of the 'Two Pianos' act performing in Theatres to sell-out crowds.
Alan employs musicians of a high playing standard and with a comprehensive knowledge of music theory.
