We have become more aware of the needs and requirements that our pets, particularly dogs have, to stay happy, contented and healthy. A big part of this is companionship and mental and physical stimulation. If for any reason, for instance, work and family commitments or if you re recuperating from illness or injury, you are unable to provide these essentials for your pet, we are here to help with our flexible dog walking, and pet sitting service.
Whilst you're away, you can have complete peace of mind, knowing that we will be looking after your pets. At Furry Friends we’re passionate about animals and their care and welfare. We are available to care for your pets when you can’t be there, whether its that holiday you have been looking forward to, we can provide the companionship and reassurance for your pet that kennels simply cannot provide, or just someone to take the dog out on a fun and energetic walk while you're at work.
If you`ve experienced the guilt of looking at your dogs sad face as you leave them for the day, knowing they`ll be bored and lonely, then our dog walking or doggie day care service could be just what you re looking for. We can pick them up or you can drop them off, they can socialise with other dog or human companions, play, explore and learn. We will try and maintain any behavioural and training requirements you may have for your pets and keep them contented and happy while they are with us.

Services
Dog walking- either on a one to one basis or with another one or two dogs, an hour to two hours, as required. We usually walk at the beach, woods and sometimes the forest.

Doggie day care- from an hour to full and half days.

House visits- for toilet breaks, attention, fussing, cleaning hutches, litter trays et

Bathing/basic grooming-If you d rather not have the hassle and mess of bathing your dog at home we can do it for you. This can be added on to our walking and/or boarding service. We can also provide a taxi service.

House sitting- from overnight to weekly stays in your home to look after horses, chickens, cats etc.


We offer cat sitting, dog sitting and even smallholding or exotic pet sitting services for animal owners across Ayrshire giving you the freedom to take a short break, holiday or business trip with total peace of mind.

About
Growing up surrounded with a variety of creatures, gave me a love of all animals, especially dogs, that has continued throughout my life.
I have experience of working in a rescue centre caring for a large assortment of breeds, ages, sizes and types of dog, as well as various wee creatures including cats, rabbits, birds, ferrets, a variety of rodents and some reptiles. As well as the general care and cleaning of these animals we also administered medication, vaccinated and micro-chipped them and were involved in socialising, behaviour and training.
I also have a SVQ2 in Animal care and am currently studying towards a Canine first aid Certificate.
In my spare time I volunteer for The Cinnamon Trust, who help look after peoples pets who through old age, illness or disability cannot manage this themselves.
