EGO Performance Company

We were the company commissioned to launch the famous Dr Who exhibition when it came to Coventry, the company that devised and implemented the core project for the DCSF’s pilot program in Careers Related Learning. Our young stand up comedians were contracted to host the BBC Blast stage at The Godiva Festival, our young musicians commissioned to perform at the 30th Anniversary of The Specials.

We are the first performance company in the city to have an active Youth Management Team. We were the first youth company to represent the West Midlands at The International Youth Arts Festival and the first performance company to stage a sleepover event at The Lunt Roman Fort.

Our short films have been distributed to all secondary schools in the city and have played on Match Days on the Coventry City Football Club Big Screen and on Mercia FM Website, all of which has helped us reach thousands of viewers. EGO has been chosen to produce a new peer education performance for 2012 for Coventry schools which deals with the values of the Olympics.

Since 2006 we have produced 22 original theatre performances, 10 short films, a program of regular music gigs and stand up comedy gigs as well as being successful in gaining an excellent reputation within the education and corporate sectors.
