ABOUT US

The landscape through The Vale of Pewsey is breathtakingly beautiful any time of year, the colours of the seasons are magnificent.
It is quite a peaceful place, where nature can be enjoyed and a sense of calm and relaxation ensues. Because our boat is powered by electricity, it is quiet, no noisy engine to spoil the peace, pollute the air or frighten wildlife.
One of the landmarks you can see from the canal is The White Horse at Alton Barnes.

Make a day of it, start from Devizes Wharf or Pewsey Wharf and cruise to one of the Canalside Pubs. From Devizes you can lunch or supper at The Bridge Inn at Horton, which has a lovely garden or The Crown at Bishops Cannings, just a short walk from the canal or from Pewsey, dine at The Barge at Honeystreet, famous for it’s interest in local crop circles, before the return trip. You could start or finish your adventure with a meal at The Waterfront Inn on Pewsey Wharf. If you prefer you can bring your own picnic to enjoy while you are cruising.

Cost to hire Yo-Yo is £24 per hour to include any waiting time should clients wish to stop off at any point.
Minimum trip time is two hours.
We do not hire the boat out on a self-drive basis. This way all of your party can relax and enjoy the scenery and wildlife, in the knowledge that, they are being driven safely, by a qualified helmsman.
‘Yo-Yo’ will seat up to 12 passengers.
Dogs with well-behaved owners are welcome.
‘Yo-Yo’ is a ‘No Smoking’ boat.
Life jackets are available but not mandatory.
Waterproof Eco Ponchos are available for when we experience rain showers.
Pay and Display Car Parks are adjacent to the Wharfs.
Passengers should make sure they take a comfort break before the trip.

Your trip may be for a family celebration, a corporate bonding event, fun with friends or just because you want to and can.
You can plan your trip to suit your needs. You can tell us what you would like and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Adrian is a qualified engineer and has worked in the hospitality trade. Adrian’s passion is the canal, he is a volunteer with The Canal & River Trust (CRT), working with a team on the CRT workboat ‘Avon Vale’, clearing vegetation from the off side of the canal, helping to make the passage for boats clearer.

Nikki is an Accounts Administrator, who has also worked in the hospitality trade. She is an artist and has been accredited as a journeyman with The Waterways Craft Guild for decorative painting of Traditional Canal Art, Roses and Castles.

Adrian and Nikki would like to share their love of the canal with others and make it possible for them to experience the relaxing peace and tranquillity of The Kennett & Avon Canal.
