Dufton House is a grade 2 listed Georgian farmhouse dating back to 1662,situated in the peaceful village of Brigham just 2 miles from Cockermouth. The house retains many original features including the stone staircase,wood panelling, sash windows,and window seats overlooking the secluded and quiet walled garden.

Dufton House is an ideal base for exploring the Western Lakes and the Solway Coast. Crummock Water, Loweswater and Buttermere are a short drive away through the beautiful Lorton Vale. A longer drive south takes you to Ennerdale Water and Wastwater. A full range of local maps and guide books are available to help you plan your excursions.
