We want our products to taste great, be healthy and be produced sustainably. We want our business to thrive and make us a reasonable living and at the same time strive to be socially and economically responsible too. In short, great local food, ethically sourced.
The land has been farmed here continually at least since the early 1500s, the soil is a fertile clay loam and the meadows rich in herbs and the land rests on gentle south facing slope. We run the holding on sustainable principles, though we are not registered organic. The animals are managed on a high welfare system, with low stocking rates and ample freedom to roam. Feed is free from chemical preservatives, medicinal additives and GM material.
