More about Community Reuse Project

Who are we?

The Villages Together is a registered charity based in the North West, we support activity in the rural area between Strabane, Newbuildings and Donemana. The Villages Together is led by local community volunteers and we promote partnership, encouraging community groups to work together for the betterment of the entire area.

What do we do?

The group has received funding from the Big Lottery through Village SOS to start a new Re-found, Re-unite and Re-use organisation with its facility in Donemana Enterprise Park. The project aims to bring significant social, environmental and economic benefit to the rural communities, helping to build pride in the local environment and to get communities working together. We also wish to build relationships with local businesses offering advice and support to help them reduce their waste and increase recycling.

Why do we do it?

We are committed to growing an environmentally and economically sustainable business, which works within the heart of the community.

How you can help us Re-Unite to Re-Use your old stuff!

Our activities range from collecting, handling and recovering used household furniture, clothing and recyclable material and house clearances. All materials collected are processed efficiently and responsibly, recyclables are traceable and processed in accordance with good industry practise. By choosing The Villages Together you can be assured that we will meet all environmental legislation when handling your recycling.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Our organisation provides training and seeks to improve skills, confidence and employment opportunities to encourage local people back to work. If you would like more information please contact us.
