Community Organisation for Race Equality

North Edinburgh based CORE aims to challenge racial discrimination and ensure the wellbeing of the local Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) community, equip individuals with appropriate advice and information that enable them to make informed decisions on issues that affect their lives, increase the confidence and self-esteem of individuals in order that they can maximise their full potential and feel valued members of the society, assist the BME community to recognise the importance of getting involved in political, social and community life to affect change, address the social isolation experienced by BME community and work with a range of agencies to advocate on issues that affect them.
