Carlisle Flying School operated by Border Air Training Ltd, is well placed to provide flying lessons for Carlisle and easily accessible from Southern Scotland, The North East, Newcastle, aswell as Cumbria.

Here at Carlisle Flying School we’re proud to be Carlisle's longest established Flying School, providing a professional and very friendly flying school with more than 20 years experience in flight training.

Our team of very experienced and friendly flying instructors have amassed tens of thousands of flying hours between then, who love what they do with dedication and professionalism. They are here to guide you through your new ambition of becoming a pilot for pleasure or taking that first step towards a career in aviation or even that once in a life time experience you have been looking for.

We also provide pilot licence and rating renewals for those pilots who unfortunaly have lapsed licence and rating, aswell as additional training for pilots looking to go beyond the LAPL or PPL with IMC ratings, Night ratings, complex type training and Mountain flying courses.

Our flying school also operate along side our Commercial AOC operation, which provide Sightseeing flights around the Lake District and Hadrians Wall for the general public and Aerial Survey and Photograhy for commercial customers.
