Hi my name is Brenda and while recovering from breast cancer I discovered that I could show everyone what I loved doing and instead of loving everything and wanting a massive house to put it all in, I could do everything and sell it. Perfect.

As a single mother if I needed anything done I had to do it myself so painting was one of those things and when I painted a unit for my lovely friend she discovered she could have her house spruced up for a quarter of the price and this is what we did.

I use all kinds of paints but I have to say I love Annie Sloan as it is just so versatile and as I family say don't sit still too long or i'll paint you lol I just love seeing the change in something someone would put in the bin to having it sit pride of place in their home. I moved into my very own home last year and people have been so lovely when they come to visit and see all my painted furniture and my very own handmade bits and bobs to match.

From I started this though I also discovered being unwell has its limitations so when im not well enough to paint I discovered I can do lots of other crafts such as making bunting and flowers from fabric. Every time I see a new fabric I fall in love with it and am busy thinking what can I make out of this. Keeps me very busy.
