Bristol UrbanKiz School

Bristol UrbanKiz School has come to life after their founder fell in love with Urbankiz. Shack has been introduced to kizomba in 2013 thanks to Fernando Traquino, who taught him how to dance, and later gave him the opportunity to teach. Shack has since developed his style and trained himself to become a very skilled lead. His inspiration comes from many dancers, but mostly from Enah Lebon (Enahtitude), whom he calls the Prince of Urbankiz, and Albir Rojas. He also had the amazing opportunity to learn from them at different festivals.

With the rise of Urbankiz, Shack decided to share his passion, his knowledge, and to introduce the trend to Bristol.
To help in this endeavour, he surrounded himself with a team of top dancers. Peta (his dance partner) and Lilou have been working together with Shack since 2015 as part of the Love4Kizomba team, and their love for new experiences have led them to join him in this new adventure.
The team is constantly working to improve their knowledge, going to workshops, festivals, talking to other dancers and teachers, and grabbing every opportunity to dance with as many people as possible.

We want to promote this urban-flavoured kizomba, open new horizons to dancers, whether they have been dancing for a while or whether they are only starting. We also want to get more people involved in the next Urbankiz competition. At the end of the day, we all want to improve and have fun together! We want to put Bristol on the Urbankiz map so dancers from all over the UK (and even Europe) would come and party with us.
