Beyond the Gate Florist

Beyond the Gate Florist in Barrack Road welcomed numerous friends, family members and neighbours from the local area for their grand opening which had a Jubilee theme with Pimms and scones being served. Diane and Olwen, Partners, were congratulated by many on their stunning Jubilee window display and of their glorious array of flowers.

Diane, a trained florist for many years and whose dream has always been to open her own Florist, and her sister-in-law, Olwen who decided to take a different career path and is currently taking a floristry course, decided to open their own Florist around the time their mother-in-law, Beryl Adams, passed away in February of this year.

The name of the Florist derives from a poem read at Beryl’s Celebration of Life service which had been written by her. Beryl meant a lot to both Diane and Olwen and they felt that the name of the poem both added a personal touch and was an unusual name for a Florist. The poem can be viewed in the shop.

Beyond the Gate Florist caters for traditional and contemporary styles. Diane and Olwen offer bespoke designs for all of your Blue Sky and Rainy Day occasions.
