Bennys Toon Macaroons

Situated in the beautiful listed building which is Tynemouth metro station, Bennys Toon Macaroons guests alongside OCC coffee company and many more at tynemouth markets. Lovely atmosphere , beautiful choice of foods on offer and loads of interesting quirky stalls.Having had the pleasure of running the macaroon stall at several markets and festivals over the years for the famous travelling European markets (Fayre Enough), I was privaliged to be taught the secrets of baking perfect macaroons from the Italian and Belgian experts, renowned all over Europe.It is with this knowledge and due to popular demand i bring my new versions of this classic with a modern twist to Tynemouth every weekend .Since the grand opening the weekend before last, i have introduced the original "Toon Macaroon" aka "Bennys Blueberry badboy"- busting with oozy caramelized blueberries,Bennys Honeyzest summer range with citrus zest and real bees honeycomb.Also coming soon are the OCC espresso macaroon, one with a kick!
In the middle of creating a melty chocolate macaroon with both milk and white chocolate i had the idea to add fresh orange pulp, zest and juice and created a lovely light but indulgent version with this chocolate orange combo :-) Its fluid fresh and vibrant-i like to serve my macaroons hot and fresh from the oven so everything is baked on the stall fresh every day,- )caramelized baked banana coming soon and chocolate dips/centres...Now also available all week in the food hall at Fenwicks .
