10th Planet Birmingham @ Elements MMA pride ourselves in having a setting which is ideal for anybody interested in mixed martial arts.
Boasting 15 classes per week Elements MMA's establishment falls nowhere short of what you would expect from a modern-day, fully equipped MMA facility.

In June 2012 we became officially affiliated as a 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu school by Eddie Bravo himself.
Eddie Bravo holds a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Jean Jacques Machado. He is most famous for his submission victory over Royler Gracie by triangle choke in the Abu Dhabi Submission Wrestling Championships 2003, and for being the Jiu-Jitsu innovator who created the 10th Planet system, which is his very own unique style of nogi Jiu-Jitsu.

Eddie's system was designed to work both inside the cage and on the mats in submission grappling competition.
What seperates Eddie Bravo's Jiu Jitsu from other styles is its innovation and evolution. Owing to their originality the positions he has created and refined (such as the rubber guard, the truck, and the spider web) are gaining growing momentum throughout jiu jitsu and MMA circles due to their effectiveness.

These positions and the series of reversals, passes and submissions that stem from them are so different from the traditional system that opponents do not know how to react and therefore find themselves unable to defend.

Certifying Mick Broster as head coach of 10th Planet's second ever UK 'moon' Eddie remarked on the high level of understanding and application of the system that Mick possesses as well as giving appreciation of Mick's all around grappling ability.

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu is offered a total of 6 1/2 hrs spanning 4 classes in a regular week at Elements, at no extra cost.

On top of that we have been visited by Eddie's 2nd ever black belt student, the man that Eddie describes as 'best at the rubber guard' Sean Bollinger, who twice gave phenomenal 3hr seminars during his visits to England.
Then one week after gaining affiliation status Mick and 12 of his students travelled to Sweden to attend a 2 day seminar with the man himself, Eddie Bravo.

To say that we fly the 10th Planet banner proudly is a definite understatement, however we also offer the highest level of instruction in boxing, freestyle wrestling and muay thai which can each be learned as stand alone arts or cross trained to supplement an overall MMA programme.

Features of the Elements facility itself include our 100m sq. wrestling mat with authentic event spec training cage, full sized boxing ring & multi-use bag zone, seperate weights & conditioning studio and seperate showers & changing facilities for both men and women.

On arrival you should note our large, secure car park which is of course free of charge and is gated and locked outside of the gym opening times.
